 What a weekend for Arianna. Her debut for the Milton Dynamite on Saturday went well. She wasn't always sure of where to go and what to do (tentative since it was only her 2nd game with the Dynamite), but in the end she played hard, scored a goal and has a little fun. She doesn't know anyone on her team (all 6th grade girls), but seemed to fit right in.Sunday was a completely different game. She plays on a mixed team with Genesis and Alexis and having boys makes the game completely different. Much faster, much more intense. The boys can kick the ball almost the length of the field (the indoor pitch is much smaller than the outdoor field) and they do it a lot. This lends itself to a lot of back and forth action, thus, many scoring chances. This was Ari's first game with the Cobras (green, ugly uniforms) and like the Saturday game, she scored (the team's only goal) and definitely cemented her place on the team. While I don't care for the green uniforms, the team has some hustlers and they're a lot of fun to watch. |
